Ισιδώρα Ρεντζίκα – Isidora Rentzika

Η Ισιδώρα Ρεντζίκα κατασκευάζει διασπασμένες εικόνες και ζητά από τον θεατή την συναρμολόγηση και αποσαφήνισή τους, θέτοντας, εκτός των άλλων, ερωτήματα αδιακρισίας, ηδονοβλεψίας, ακόμα και παραβατικής εμπλοκής στα αφηγούμενα συμβάντα. Μέσα από την παρωδία και το παράλογο, επιδιώκει να ενισχυθεί και, ταυτόχρονα, να αυτοαναιρεθεί το δράμα της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης, τονίζοντας το οξύμωρο της ζωής.

Η Ισιδώρα γεννήθηκε το 1990 στη Θεσσαλονίκη και είναι απόφοιτος της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλές εκθέσεις, όπως Larnaca Biennale 2018 (Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Λάρνακας), Inspire Project 2018 (Μακεδονικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, Θεσσαλονίκη) κ.ά.

Isidora Rentzika constructs fragmentary images asking of the viewer to assemble and disambiguate them, posing, among others, questions of indiscretion, voyeurism, even delinquent transgression into the narrated happenings. Through parody and the absurd, she tries to amplify and, possibly, negate the drama of human existence by underlying the oxymoron of life.

Isidora was born in 1990 in Thessaloniki, Greece and graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2017. She has participated in many exhibitions, including Larnaca Biennale 2018 (Larnaca Municipal Gallery), Inspire Project 2018 (Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki).
