Ο Δημήτρης Παπαζάχος γεννήθηκε το 1996 στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Η ενασχόληση του με τη ζωγραφική ξεκίνησε από πολύ μικρή ηλικία. Το 2016 άρχισε να φοιτά στο τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών της σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ. όπου σπουδάζει ακόμη σήμερα διανύοντας το τρίτο ακαδημαϊκό έτος, στο 3ο εργαστήριο ζωγραφικής.
Η εικαστική του ματιά εστιάζει σε έργα ζωγραφικά με στυλό σε χαρτί, installation, αλλά και performance. Στα έργα του κυριαρχεί η μονοχρωμία η οποία έρχεται σε αντίθεση με το λευκό φόντο του χαρτιού που επιλέγει να αφήσει λευκό δημιουργώντας την ψευδαίσθηση του τρισδιάστατου χώρου. Η έρευνα του σχετίζεται με την αναπαράσταση μη υπαρκτών μορφών που παραπέμπουν σε εξπρεσιονιστικές καρικατούρες οι οποίες λόγω της έντονης επικάλυψης χρώματος δημιουργούν την αίσθηση της πλαστικότητας και του γλυπτού.

Demetris Papazachos was born in 1996 in Thessaloniki. His occupation with painting started from an early age. From 2016, he started studying painting in the Faculty of Visual and Applied Arts, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he is now attending the 3rd academic year.
His artistic observation focuses on the creation of pen painting, made on paper, along with installation and performance. His paintings are dominated from monochrome, which creates an intense contrast with the white background. The background is left white, in order to give the illusion of three- dimensional space. He is researching on representing non – existent forms, which look like expressionist caricatures. Due to the many layers of ink that he applies, the painted forms create the sense of sculpture and plasticity.
