O Βασίλης Ζωγράφος γεννήθηκε στη Μυτιλήνη. Σπούδασε στη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Ως υπότροφος του Ολλανδικού Κράτους και του Ιδρύματος “Λίλιαν Βουδούρη”, ολοκλήρωσε το μεταπτυχιακό τμήμα της Ακαδημίας Καλών Τεχνών του Groningen της Ολλανδίας. Επίσης είναι απόφοιτος του διατμηματικού μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος της Πολυτεχνικής Σχολής του Α.Π.Θ., “Προστασία, Συντήρηση και Αποκατάσταση ΄Έργων Τέχνης και Μηχανισμών”. Από το 2002 έως το 2007 δίδασκε σχέδιο και ζωγραφική ως επισκέπτης καθηγητής στην École Régionale de Beaux Arts de St. Etienne. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό και οι πιο πρόσφατες ατομικές του εκθέσεις έγιναν στην Γενεύη (espace_L gallery, 2018), στην Αθήνα (Γκαλερί Ελευθερία Τσέλιου, 2015) και στην Θεσσαλονίκη (Γκαλερί Λόλα Νικολάου, 2018 – Κέντρο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, 2012). Αυτόν τον καιρό ζει και εργάζεται στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Vasilis Zografos was born in Mytilini, Lesvos. He studied at the School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, (1987-1992). During the period 1993-1995, he gained a scholarship from the Lilian Voudouri Trust in conjunction with the Dutch State whereby he attended and completed the Masters Degree Course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen, in the Netherlands. In 2002, he completed a multi-discipline Masters Course at the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in the Preservation, Conservation and Restoration of Art Works. Between 2002 and 2007 he taught Painting and Drawing at the Ecole Régionale de Beaux Arts de St. Etienne. He now lives and works in Thessaloniki.
