Ο Βασίλης Γαλάνης γεννήθηκε το 1994. Είναι απόφοιτος του τμήματος Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ.
Statement
“Η δουλειά μου αποτελεί μια απόπειρα επαναδιαπραγμάτευσης του παραδοσιακού είδους της τοπιογραφίας, τόσο στη Δυτική όσο και στην Ανατολική καλλιτεχνική παράδοση. Αποτελείται από φυσικούς χώρους γεμάτους με ανωμαλίες και παραδοξότητες. Ο χρόνος συχνά παρουσιάζεται παγωμένος και διφορούμενος· στοιχεία της προϊστορικής περιόδου συνδυάζονται με μετά-αποκαλυπτικές εικόνες.”

Statement
“My oeuvre is an attempt to re-interpret the traditional genre of landscape painting, both in western and eastern art tradition. It consists of natural spaces, brimming with anomalies and paradoxes. Time is
often presented frozen and ambiguous; aspects of the prehistoric period are combined with post-apocalyptic imagery.”
